The South St. Paul Municipal Airport – Fleming Field is publicly owned and operated by the City of South St. Paul. Fleming Field is located in Dakota County. Access is easy and fast, as we are about 1.5 miles from Interstate 494 and 1.5 miles from US Highway 52. In only a few minutes, you can be at the Mall of America, the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, Target Field, US Bank Stadium, and soon the new Vikings training facility the TCO Performance Center and Stadium. We are home to entities such as the CAF, CAP, and Wipaire.
The South St. Paul Municipal Airport – Fleming Field has one runway. Runway 16/34 is 4,002 feet in length and is 100 feet wide.
The Airport provides Phillips 66/Western Petroleum branded fuel in three fuel types: 91UL, 100LL, and Jet-A. All fuel types are some of the lowest around and available 24/7/365 self-serve at the pumps with a credit card or full-service fueling through Wipaire.
The airport is served by three approaches: NDB-B, LOC RWY 34, and RNAV (GPS) RWY 34. We are also happy to announce that the new LPV minimums for RNAV (GPS) RWY 34 should be published on February 1, 2018. Just in time for Super Bowl LII.
To commemorate 20 years, the Terminal Building was given a few upgrades: new carpeting in the Lobby and Meeting Room, new HVAC system, and LED lighting (to be completed over the next few months).
