Our Park System

The South St. Paul park system has 15 public park areas covering more than 240 acres. The different types of parks include Community Parks, Neighborhood Parks, and Special Use Park Areas. For more information on individual parks, use the links on the left.

Off-Leash Dog Park 

Kaposia Landing Off-Leash Dog Area, located at 800 Bryant Ave., is a 6.3 acre fenced in area that offers dogs and their owners the only legal dedicated area to run, recreate and train without a leash in the city. It features river overlooks, and nearly two miles of paved trails. Permits may be purchased at City Hall (125 3rd Avenue North). Your membership will directly support the ongoing maintenance and development of the park. The park is open to valid permit holders from 6:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. A seasonal drinking fountain has been installed outside the north end entrance.  The park also features a specialty area for small/frail/timid dogs.
Permit Required $20 Resident / $30 Non-Resident.

Park Picnic Shelter and Pavilion Rentals

The South St. Paul park system has three picnic shelters and one park building available for rental mid-May through mid-October. Reservations are accepted starting the first business day following January 1st of the current rental year.
