Election Dates for 2024

There are three Elections scheduled in 2024, the first of these is the Presidential Nomination Primary which will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. 

Residents of South St. Paul will vote at the following polling locations:

  • Precinct 1 - St. John Vianney Church, 789 17th Avenue North
  • Precinct 2 - First Presbyterian Church, 535 20th Avenue North
  • Precinct 3 - Luther Memorial Church, 315 15th Avenue North
  • Precinct 4 - Dakota County Historical Museum, 130 3rd Avenue North
  • Precinct 5 - Kaposia Education Center, 1225 1st Avenue South

The polls will be open from 7 AM – 8 PM on Election Day.

Voting by Absentee/Direct Balloting will also be available for the March 5th Election as outlined below: 

Absentee voting begins January 19, 2024

  • Vote absentee in-person at South St. Paul City Hall or vote by mail
  • Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 4:30 PM

Direct balloting (voters place ballot directly into tabulator) begins February 16, 2024

  • Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 4:30 PM

Extended hours: 

  • Saturday, March 2, 9 AM – 3 PM
  • Monday, March 4, 8 AM – 5 PM
